A zine (pronounced ZEEN) is usually small-batch, independently published work, such as booklets. Anyone can be a zinester (aka "someone who creates a zine"), and most people make zines for the love of creating rather than for seeking a profit.

Andrea is a passionate zinester, she has been creating zines since before she knew what they were.
She loves to create mini zines and add extra elements such as pull tabs, pop-ups, and interactive elements. She also enjoys creating zines about her cats, Cleo and Eva, her personal experiences (perzines), and her favorite media.
She is also a children’s book illustrator and a marketing and social media animator.
